and i can't imagine i'm so hardworking.. i actually just finish watching a human geo webcast. oh, and it's so entertaining. the lecturer never fails to make me laugh. hahaha.. just to share with ya. he was saying that MNC(multinational corporations) need to practise sensitivity to other cultures. the product names below are real!! they sound so perfectly innocent in their own lands but they can symbolise more than intended esp. when these names are used in other lands.
Ass Glue tonic drink from donkey parts (a product of China)
Colon Plus liquid detergent (Spain)
Fockink liqueur (Netherlands)
Green Piles lawn fertilizer (Japan)
Homo Sausage beef jerky (Japan)
Hornyphon video recorder (Austria)
Krapp toilet paper (Sweden)
Last Climax paper tissues (Japan)
Mucos soft drink (Japan)
Pansy men's underwear (China)
Pipi orangeade (Yugoslovia)
Plopp chocolate bar (Sweden)
Polio detergent (Czechoslovakia)
Pshitt soft drink (France)
Shitto hot spiced pepper sauce (Ghana)
Zit lemon-lime soft drink (Greece)
and i think of these, Mucos (sounds like mucus), Plopp ( a sound you make in toilet when ya doing big biz) and Shitto are really funny. Imagine someone asking whether you would like to have some Shitto on your spaghetti? hahah...
oh ya, last sat went for a geo fieldtrip. well, it's just going round the CBD area, nothing really great. but hey, i just enjoy the field trip so much. i just enjoy this process of learning. it's really engaging, no stress involved and an eye-opener.
our prof took us to this cafe called pitstop cafe to learn about urban studies. and guess wat? the cafe is actually opened by a few young entrepreneurs, one of them is a year 3 Geography major student. oh, he's cute (i actually said this in front of roger, which made him jealous). hahah... he's the one standing up in the pic(for tjcians, you see someone familiar in the pic as well). i think it's a small cosy cafe and the targeted audience are people like you and ME! (sorry if ya old) they have board games for you to play with ya friends in their cafe while you sip your coffee and eat ya pasta. i think this is quite a refreshing idea. they are located at circular road, next to boat quay. can go vist their cafe blog at www.pitstopcafe.blogspot.com if ya interested. fyi, i'm not advertising for them hor. but i think the guy below has smart marketing strategy when he invited our prof to bring us here. we are given name cards and discount vouchers when we left their cafe.

we took a group photo at the end of the day. i think the big fat birdie looked really magnificent! overall, the field trip is great! hahah.. there'll be another one this month for physical geo. we'll be going to MacRitchie Reservoir and will be walking the suspension bridge!! really looking forward to it =D yippie!!!
ok, end of update. gonna rush for lecture now. bye...
