My Personal Trainer

Yes, I finally hire a personal trainer after I concluded that I have no will power to do so on my own.

Yesterday was my first session with my trainer. So I dug out my TJ PE shorts from underneath a pile of more-oftenly-worn clothes and put it on. Glanced at myself for a few moments in the mirror and realized how different I looked…

During those TJ days, I had better toned thighs and I loved the way my shorts hang loose on my hips. The same pair of shorts was also worn for my cheerleading practices for NDP and I remembered I felt sexy when I danced in it.

Looking back at myself in the mirror again, I wondered what has happened to me? I mean not entirely in terms of size/figure (Of cos, I am chubbier now - note, I choose to think chubby than fat) but me as a whole. Just felt that I have changed after… let me count… 6 years (shit! 6 years has actually passed when the memories felt like they were so yesterday???!!!!). After stepping into the society, I guessed the very innocence which we had when we were younger is lost. We have become more practical and complicated in our thinking. Our dreams and aspirations are also forgotten or somewhat diluted while we are mugging hard for our career now. Do you agree? That is why I often miss going back to school… Back to our innocence self…

Back to my trainer. We hit the tracks first and that feeling of me hating to jog came back instantly. I think jogging ranks first in my list of most hated sports. I mean it is SO monotonous and really needs a lot of will-power to do so. I wonder how I actually survived those TJ days when we had jogging as our morning breakfast.

Anyway, learn 2 jogging tips from my trainer yesterday:

1) Use nose to breath. Breathe in 2 times, breathe out 2 times
2) Gain momentum when you jog

Tried to learn but still very lao3 ya2. I just walked when I was tired or couldn’t catch my breath. However, my trainer showed no mercy and wanted me to keep on jogging. After many rounds of this run-and-walk, we had some bearable kind of cool down exercises and ended the session.

I have not fixed the session for next week but think will just arrange 1 session per week so that it’s more ta1han1-able.

Btw, my trainer charges pretty reasonably… only $5 for an hour (I think lowest in town). If you are interested to hire HIM

as your personal trainer, please let me know. I can pass you his contacts ;-)
