At work, I usually dress like this...
The never-will-go-wrong office attire: short/long sleeve blouse with pants/skirt. And my outfit will always be paired with my one and only love...
Yes, Crocs Alice. Most of the days I leave home with Alice. A day without it makes me, or rather my feet, feel uncomfortable.
I figure out that my "standard" outfit is largely attributed to my laziness. As the chinese saying goes, "世界没有丑女人,只有懒女人". Can't agree more! I usually don't plan beforehand what I will wear the next day for work. Worse still, every morning I find myself rushing to work. Thus, I will hastily choose whatever that is easy to wear, usu. clothes that don't need much ironing.
Second reason, 我追求完美 (ironic?). If I am serious about dressing up, I can be very particular. For example, the outfits I wore for Tay's wedding:

For Day 1's outfit, notice that I wore only yellow and white. I purposely chose not to wear my metallic watch because it doesn't match the outfit. But that left my wrists very empty... so in the end I placed a lacey band around it.
Dinner outfit: I actually shopped around far east a few times for the perfect necklace and earrings to go with my black dress, shoes and gold evening clutch - only to remember later that I had a nice gold necklace somewhere in my wardrobe. But happy not for long, as I don't have matching earrings. Only on the day itself did I settle for diamond-like studs which matched the "diamonds" on the necklace.
My theory: it's either "天衣"无缝 (of cos, this is subjective) or just take it easy kind of dressing.
Ok, back to original topic... So, my workplace ppl got very used to the kind of stuff that I will wear daily. If I ever bother to dress up, they would know I have an important date.
But now that I have settled into my new house and tied down some important matters, I decided to put in more effort into dressing up for work, and maybe, give some attitude to it.
Last Wednesday, I wore this...

A simple well-cut black mini dress with black leggings, and my fav pair of mary-jane. One person commented that I looked like Lucy Liu in her teacher's outfit in Charlie's Angels (sans devil's whip and slutty moves of cos). Hm, serious boh?!
Thursday....

Decided to wear the same legging again before throwing into the washing machine. I like this dress because the upper half looks very corporate but bottom half has that girly edge to it - pleated and even has 2 side pockets for me to slot for hands when I am cold! If I can get my hands to a nice cropped jacket plus oxford heels to match this, it will be perfect!
Yesterday....
My usual kind of working clothes WITH slightly more details. This black blouse allows me to tie a nice bow at the front. Also added a belt and threw in a pair of heels for this outfit. I think it screams "You-should-know-who-is-the-boss-here" kind of look. Now that I am looking at this photo, I think this will look better with some bright coloured skinny belt so that there is contrast with the rest of the outfit.
I have not thought of what to wear next week. But anyway, if you ever caught me in my "standard" work outfit, it is probably one of those lazy days again....
